Break-in-transmission. Can we just
talk a quick second about this book I just (29/05/2013, 11:06am) finished
reading. A graphic (or at least what was meant to be a graphic novel) I
downloaded on my Kindle Fire, only an hour ago, in the hope of getting into the
habit of reading more graphic novels. It’s comes off as a children’s book, but
it actually isn’t. And man is it hella funny! The name is ‘Timmy Failure,
Mistakes were made’ and it’s about this kid, named Timmy Failure who sets up
his own private investigation/detective firm with his pet polar bear Total (yes
the name of his PET POLAR BEAR is Total!) He’s a total rebel, the book doesn’t mention
his age, (which is only about 50 or so pages long, I didn’t bother to count)
but I can imagine that he’s probably around five or six, but he’s so mature for
his age, though as the book title suggests, he does make mistakes. The book
itself finds subtle yet intricate ways of making jokes (or at least what I
perceive to be jokes) out of the most serious things. Timmy speaks in a somewhat
mature and elevated way, which might come off as pompous and aloof-like, but
it’s really confidence (at least to me it seems that way) though it’s very
obvious that he’s a kid. The writing style was filled with irony, which was
partially what made the book so funny. I
just thought that this book was awesome. It’s my first graphic novel on my
Kindle (after having it for close to a year now. I know, I’m way behind time!)
and trust me, it takes the cake for graphic novels including compared to the
ones I’ve read in real life (so far)….Guys, you absolutely have to read this
book, I’ll link the Kindle Amazon thingy down below so you can see what I’m
talking about, as soon as you read it, comment and let me know what you
think….Tell me that I’m wrong!…lolz…This book was awesome!!! =) (Only God knows
why I’m acting THIS excited over THIS book)
